Til I Said It To You
(Tom Shapiro/Sharon Vaughn/Walter Wilson)

Love is a powerful word
A little word that oughta mean something
Love better mean what it says
Say what you mean or it doesn't mean nothing
Love is a dangerous door to open
If you don't feel it when it's spoken

Footage of Reba starring out a window.  Then go to a shot of Narvel looking out a window in the other direction. Both looking puzzled and disappointed. Maybe Reba could be holding mementos from past lovers, like letters.

Sometimes I said it when I really didn't mean it
Just to throw away a promise I knew wasn't true
It meant a little less to me everytime I did it
But I never said I love you from the heart
Til I said it to you

Show shots of Charlie and Reba together.  Show shots of Narvel and his first wife.  Then go back to Reba having dinner and kissing on some guy.  Then go to Narvel walking with a girl(me) and kissing her on a huge bed.

You made me tell you the truth
And that truth was a total revelation
I see I have it in me
Now I can speak without any hesitation
I love you comes so freely
For the first time I believe me

Shots of Reba and Narvel talking together.  You can tell Reba is not too sure about something but then tells him, and Narvel says go ahead and do it.   The rest of the video is full of clips of them talking, laughing, and holding each other.  The last frame is a picture of Narvel Reba and Shelby.

I hope this is kind of what you were looking for.  Just remember, I get to be the one with Narvel before Reba gets him!!!!LOL  I could go into more detail about the scenes on the bed, but I’ll let your imagination take it!

thanks Bree

The End!

delivers HIS VERSION of Santy's
Christmas News from the North Pole...

  BUBBY CLAUS
... a new contract for Santy
    has just been negotiated...

I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will no longer be able to serve the Southern United States on Christmas Eve. Due to the overwhelming current population of the earth, my contract was renegotiated by North American Fairies and Elves Local 209. I now serve only certain areas of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. As part of the new and better contract I also get longer breaks for milk and cookies so keep that in mind.

However, I'm certain that your children will be in good hands with your local replacement who happens to be my third cousin, Bubby Claus. His side of the family is from the South Pole. He shares my goal of delivering toys to all the good boys and girls; however, there are a few differences between us.

Differences such as:

1. There is no danger of a Grinch stealing your presents from Bubby Claus. He has a gun rack on his sleigh and a bumper sticker that reads, "These toys insured by Smith and Wesson."

2. Instead of milk and cookies, Bubby Claus prefers that children leave rabbit stew, beef jerky and pork rinds.

3 Bubby Claus' sleigh is pulled by floppy-eared, flyin' coon dogs instead of reindeer. I made the mistake of loaning him a couple of my reindeer one time, and Blitzen's head now overlooks Bubby's fireplace.

4. You won't hear "On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen ..." when Bubby Claus arrives. Instead, you'll hear, "On Reba-er, on Gar-th, on Al-an and Mar-tina. On Faith, on Tim, on To-beeey and Ken-ney."

5. "Ho, ho, ho!" has been replaced by "Yee Haw!" And you also are likely to hear Bubby's elves respond, "I her'd dat!"

6. As required by Southern highway laws, Bubby Claus' sleigh does have a Yosemite Sam safety triangle on the back with the words "Back off!" The last I heard it also had other decorations on the sleigh back as well. One is a Ford or Chevy logo with lights that race through the letters and the other is a caricature of me (Santy Claus) going wee wee on the Tooth Fairy.

7. The usual Christmas movie classics such as "Miracle on 34th Street"and "It's a Wonderful Life" will not be shown in your negotiated viewing area. Instead, you'll see "Boss Hogg Saves Christmas" and "Smokey and the Bandit IV" featuring Burt Reynolds as Bubby Claus and dozens of state patrol cars crashing into each other.

8. Bubby Claus doesn't wear a belt. He doesn’t wear a collar. He doesn’t wear clothes.

9. If I were you, I'd make sure you, the wife, and the kids put plastic on the floor under the tree before Bubby and his crew arrive. If I were you, I’d put plastic under the holly, mistletoe, and all other indoor Christmas greenery :-)

10. And finally, lovely Christmas songs have been sung about me like "Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer" and Bing Crosby's "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." This year songs about Bubby Claus will be played on all the AM radio stations in the South Those song titles will be Mark Chesnutt's "Bubby Claus Shot the Jukebox,"  "Grandma Got Run'd Over by a Reindeer," and "Bubby CAN Dance!"

Sincerely Yours,

Santy Claus

PORTRAIT OF A SON

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art. When the Viet Nam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.

The young man held out his package. I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this; The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture; Someone in back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one"; But the auctioneer persisted, "Will someone bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"; Another voice shouted angrily, "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids"; But still the auctioneer continued, "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. He shouted, I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. "We have $10, who will! bid 20?" "Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters." "$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?"

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't ! want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10". A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection; The auctioneer laid down his gavel, "I'm sorry, the auction is over."

"What about the paintings?"

"I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will.. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the! son gets everything."

God gave his Son 2,000 years ago to die on a cruel cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is, The Son, the Son, who'll take the Son?; Because you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

Subject:  WLS Christmas Story Part 1

Happy Holidays all! I mentioned how I always seem to end up in the kitchen in these stories so I fell right into the classic trap of "well if you want it done a certain way/do it yourself" so that's why the WLS Christmas story is coming from me this year. :) I tried to include as many names as I could, and the story turned out to be 4 pages long so I'm sending the first part out tonight, and the second part (the latter 2 pages) will be out sometime tomorrow.

WLS Christmas Story

Twas the night before the taping of the big Christmas episode of "Reba" and every member of the cast was running around trying to get everything done. That is everyone, except Reba. Reba was off spending time with Narvel and Shelby without a care in the world. Little did she know what lay in store for tomorrow.

Secretly behind the scenes, the WLS members had contacted the WB and the producers of "Reba" to put together a Christmas/Chanukah surprise. When the cast heard, they flipped for the idea and decided to help as well. Christopher Rich (Brock) and Melissa Peterman (BJ) worked together on the food shopping while Joanna Garcia (Cheyenne) and Steve Howey (Van) went shopping for little presents to give each cast and WLS member for Chanukah. Meanwhile back on set, Scarlett Pomers (Kyra) and Mitch Holleman (Jake) implored the help of the WLS members to decorate the "Hart house" for the holidays. Unbeknownst to Reba, they had all kept this a secret after the WLS
had attended the rehearsals and a script read through during a special sneak peek behind the scenes day just for WLS earlier. Even Shelby had given WLS a special tour of the "Hart home." As far as Reba knew, everyone had gone home and the WLS had all set back on their trips home. The group worked throughout the evening and into the wee hours of the morning to set everything up.

<The next morning> The WLS are all crowded into the director's booth to watch the fun unfold because if Reba had seen them, it would ruin the surprise. Some were complaining about how cramped it was but Bree just kept smiling because she got to be next to Narvel the whole time. Narvel had made up some excuse about needing to talk with the writer about a scene re-write before they started taping so he left the house early that morning to be able to meet with WLS members before Reba got to the set. It was Shelby's job to make sure Reba didn't leave for the set until Narvel called to say they were ready.

Chris and Steve walk into the studio together talking about the fun ahead but quickly switch to football when they hear a "Hey guys!" in that classic Okie accent coming from behind them. Up runs Joanna before Reba can get the chance to catch up with Chris and Steve to tell Reba that they need her to do some camera blocking. It was good that Joanna was such a quick thinker because Steve and Chris were trying to quickly hide the fact that they were carrying large bags of food and presents with not much luck.

Joanna quickly whisks Reba away as Dustin and Denver come out of the woodwork to help take the bags from Steve and Chris. Some of the other WLS members like Erin and Tami moved to the catering area to start preparing some of the great dishes that they would be munching on later. Bubby was already at their feet trying to "help." Joni, Lacey, and Shala were hanging out in Scarlett's dressing room helping wrap the presents that Joanna and Steve had bought the night before.

Reba and Joanna arrive on set and Reba's eyes open wide to take in all the Christmas decorations that had been put up since she left the night before. Joanna, so as not to ruin the surprise, acts like she had no clue the set looked like this and fakes being as surprised as Reba really is. They get the camera blocking done and the cast members are rushed into hair and makeup. While they are in there, the WLS members rush out onto the set and start hiding parts of the surprise.

WLS rushes off and hides off set when they hear Mitch trying to get everyone into the Christmas spirit by singing carols as they walk down the hall to the set. That was the cue between the cast and WLS that they were on their way to the set and to hurry up and hide. Reba starts talking about how much she misses being back home in Tennessee and Oklahoma where it isn't 70 degrees in the winter and how everyone would have their house lights up instead of being stuck here under studio lights. Scarlett had to really test her acting skills to try and not smile when Reba was being so sad.

They set up for the first scene. It features everyone but Chris and Melissa sitting in the living room. Chris (Brock) enters in a Santa suit and says "Merry Christmas!" as the kids jump up to give him a hug and to find out what he has in that big red sack. "Have you kids been good or bad this year?" asks Chris (Brock/Santa), as he teases Mitch (Jake), Scarlett (Kyra), and Joanna (Cheyenne). Just then, Melissa (BJ) walks in with a cheery "Howdy all, Merry Christmas, God bless us everyone!" Reba says under her breath, "Well, we know which one Santa's been this year."

"Umm, Mrs. H?" says Steve (Van). "Yes, Van?" Reba says. "Who brought the fog machine?" says Steve (Van). Reba turns toward the kitchen entirely confused and realizes that Van meant the smoke that was billowing from the kitchen. "Oh no, my gingerbread men!" Reba exclaims as she runs into the kitchen. She pulls open the oven expecting to find a sheet of burnt cookies that the script called for her to pull out and place on the counter but instead finds many pans of perfectly made and decorated gingerbread people. Reba, thinking quickly as the cameras were rolling, thought this must be the script re-write Narvel was talking about and decided to do a little ad-libbing. "Wow, those frisky squirrels outside must have something contagious, it's spread to my gingerbread cookies!" The rest of the cast was laughing so hard that they had to yell cut. Reba turns to put the pans back in the oven to redo the scene when she notices a note on the refrigerator. "Hmm, this wasn't here before," she says as she picks it up to read it.

The note said (it was secretly put there by one of the cast members when everyone was distracted) "By now you've found our gingerbread people. They are a real treat, but to get something just as sweet, you'll have to keep up the beat." "Keep up the beat?" Reba kept repeating to herself. "What could this mean?"

Part 2 will follow tomorrow..

Subject:  Part 2 of Christmas Story

Starting the scene again was taking some time because the crew was off pretending to bake and burn some more gingerbread cookies. To pass the time, Scarlett who plays in a band in her free time, brought up to Reba that she heard that Reba played the drums a bit back in high school. "Yes I did, but I wasn't very good at it I'm afraid," Reba says. "Could you show me while we're waiting?" asks Scarlett who just happened to have a small set of hand held drums from the prop room. Perplexed, Reba took the drums from Scarlett, sat down at the kitchen table and began to play a little. As Reba played on, she noticed that something didn't sound right so she began to inspect the drums. There was a slight tear in the side of the fabric that covered the top so Reba began to pick at it and pretty soon, the whole cover came off. "Oops," Reba exclaimed. Reba began to frantically try and put the cover back on
before anyone else noticed but something shiny caught her eye. She peeked inside and there was a shiny gold plated star. Attached to it was a note. Reba looked up at Scarlett who just shrugged. Reba pulls out the note as she admires the beautiful handiwork of the star. "What does the note say?!" Scarlett practically shouts as she can't wait for Reba to read it. Reba reads: "Now you've found our little star, but to make your dreams come true by far, you need to find a place, an extraordinarily tall space for this little star."

By now Reba was feeling quite confused yet decided to keep going. After all she did enjoy playing a game with friends and someone must have gone to lots of trouble for this. Reba rereads the clue and tries to think. "What would be an extraordinarily tall space for a star?" Scarlett suggested they go out into the living room where the rest of the cast was relaxing, waiting for the next scene to start. Mitch was sitting under the tree testing to see if all the beautifully wrapped boxes were all just empty boxes put there for decoration. Or at least that's what Reba thought as she came over to playfully tease him about having to wait until Christmas to get his presents. Reba joined him on the floor as they stretched out to admire the ornaments that had been hung on the tree last night. Mitch comments, "Wow, this tree certainly is tall!" as Reba remembers what the riddle said. She jumps up and says, "That's it!" as everyone looks at her quite strangely. "This star belongs on the top of the tree!" Reba exclaimed as she took Chris' hand to help her up the stepladder. She placed the star on top of the tree and stopped for a minute to take in the view. As she did she noticed another piece of paper taped to the wall behind the tree.

Reba quickly grabbed the paper and walked down the stepladder. Everyone crowded around her as this was almost as exciting for them as it was for her. The note read "Brr, it's cold outside. As the temperatures dip, here's a little tip. All of the kittens may have lost their mittens but if you can find them in your bedroom (on the set) then you can have your just desserts too."

Reba, who now couldn't wait to find the next clue, ran over to the set of her bedroom with the rest of the cast in tow. The WLS members were secretly watching the whole thing from their hiding spots. It took all the strength they had not to also run after Reba and to be as quiet as possible. Slowly and quietly as the cast and Reba ran for the bedroom set, the WLS members ran for the backyard set, which was down the lot in the other direction.

Reba and the cast finally made it to the bedroom set and Reba ran right in to start tearing the place apart to try and find the next clue and those mittens. The rest of the cast members just tried to dodge flying props as Steve, standing by the dresser, cheered Reba on, saying "Go Reba!" Reba who was starting to feel exhausted, turned to look at Steve and was about to say something when she looked above his head and noticed the framed Christening dress hanging on the wall. Where the sleeves ended, two turquoise color mittens lay like hands inside the frame. Reba took down the frame and tried to calm her shaking hands as she undid the frame's backing. She grabbed the mittens and started to try them on as she missed the feeling of having to put on layers to stay warm in the cold winter months. The left mitten went on fine but she couldn't get her fingers all the way into the right mitten. She pulled off the right mitten and peeked inside to find another note. Reba could hardly contain her excitement as she read this note, " Ho ho ho! You are just one step away from finding the treasure. To show you how to get there would be our pleasure. Just close your eyes and soon you shall see how happy and good that it can be."

"Just close my eyes?" Reba said, "I don't get it." "Oh just do it, Reba!" said Chris so Reba did as the note said half expecting to get hit with a pie or something next. While Reba stood with her eyes closed, from out of the shadows comes Narvel and Shelby who each take one of Reba's hands without saying a word. The rest of the cast runs ahead to the backyard set while Narvel and Shelby lead Reba to the backyard. "What is going on, who is leading me?" Reba keeps asking but no one says a word.

Eventually they arrive at the backyard set. Narvel and Shelby let go of Reba's hands as Mitch and Scarlett remind Reba to keep her eyes closed. Narvel and Shelby walk over to the center of the "yard" and stand next to something quite tall and cold. "OK, open your eyes!" everyone exclaims. Reba opens her eyes to find the whole backyard set covered in snow and Narvel and Shelby are standing next to 3 snow people built to look just like them and one to look like Reba. Reba runs over to check out the snow people and hug Narvel and Shelby when out from behind the sculpture jumps all the WLS members whom Reba had thought went home already.

"Oh wow! You guys stayed and it looks just like it does in the wintertime back home in Tennessee/Oklahoma! Oh this is so beautiful. How did you ever do all this?"

Angie and Amber explain that the gingerbread people were all decorated to look like each WLS member. Jordan and Lisa explained that the tree and set had been decorated last night after Reba had gone home. Then Shannon and Tina brought out all the boxes that were under the tree that Reba thought was just decoration but really had a present inside for each day of Chanukah for everybody.

After opening all their presents, each WLS member stepped forward and got to give Reba a hug and then show her which gingerbread cookie most resembled them. After everyone had picked out their gingerbread cookies, Reba commented "You know, there can't be snow without a certain thing." "What's that?" everyone says in unison fearing they forgot something. "A snowball fight!" Reba exclaims as she hits Narvel right in the chest with one. Soon everyone joins in and there's snowballs flying everywhere.

Afterwards, Reba, the cast, and the WLS members learn that the crew had been taping everyone from the very beginning and distributed copies to everyone as a keepsake of the time they shared together this holiday season.

THE END.

P.S.  We're always looking for people to try
